Overview & Specifications
What Are Baby Shower Boxes?
Baby shower boxes are boxes printed for a baby shower and used in three ways: a small favor for each guest, a gift box for the new parents, and a gender reveal box lifted open to show the baby's sex. Each uses a different structure, with one shared theme.
Custom Baby Shower Boxes sit in Life Moments and are built on Pillow Boxes or Gable Boxes for favors and Custom Two Piece Rigid Boxes for gifts and reveals. Ready-sized favor variants are Mini Favor Pillow Boxes and Small Gable Boxes.
What it has to do
What a Baby Shower Needs from the Box
A baby shower uses boxes for guests, for the parents and for the reveal moment. Each need below is matched to how it is met.
01
Favors
Favors for Every Guest
A pillow or gable box holds a small treat or keepsake for each guest. Treats are checked for food contact: the board, coatings, inks, adhesives and any liner, insert or window film for the food type, contact time and temperature, including possible migration.02
Gender
Gender Reveal Boxes
A gender reveal box is a lift-off lid box opened in front of guests to show what is inside. It is sized to the contents, such as balloons or confetti, which are not supplied. The size is confirmed on the specification, and the outside can stay neutral so nothing gives the answer away before the lid comes off.03
Gifts
Gifts for New Parents
A rigid gift box is built around the confirmed contents, such as baby clothes, a blanket or a keepsake set, with an insert where items need to stay in place.04
Names
Names, Date and Shower Colors
The parents' or baby's name, the date and the shower palette go into the shared design. Guest names are printed only where variable data is confirmed for the print process.
Baby Shower Favor Box vs Gender Reveal Box
Choose a favor box for one small treat per guest; choose a gender reveal box for one lift-off reveal at the party. The table compares them.

| Structure | Pillow or gable | Rigid lift-off lid |
| Quantity per shower | One per guest | One per reveal |

What Size Baby Shower Box Do I Need?
Size each box to what goes inside: the favor, the gift items, or the reveal contents. Final dimensions are set on the approved dieline.
| Measurement | What to Record |
|---|---|
| Favor | Size of the treat or keepsake |
| Gift | Length, width and height of each item |
| Reveal contents | What goes inside and the space it needs |
| Extras | Tissue, ribbon or card |
Test the Reveal on a Sample
Pack a reveal sample with the real contents. Check that the lid lifts cleanly and the contents fit as planned.
What to Check Before Bulk Production
Review samples packed with the real contents and printed with the final artwork. Record the approved structures and finish on the signed-off samples. Where a sample shows a problem, review the cause, revise the specification and confirm it on another packed sample.
| If the sample shows | Cause to review |
|---|---|
| Reveal contents do not fit as planned | Box size against the confirmed contents |
| Lid sticks when lifted | Lid tolerance against the wrap paper |
| Treat marks the favor box | Board, coating and liner against the food, contact time and temperature |
| Pastel colors print off-shade | Color targets on the chosen board |
Seven days covers standard production from approved proof once the specification is confirmed; delivery timing is confirmed separately, so count back from the date packing starts.
