Overview & Specifications
What Are Party Labels?
Party labels are stickers and labels printed for a wedding, shower, birthday or other event and applied to packaging that is already chosen: favor boxes, jars, water bottles, bags and tags. They add the event's names, date and theme without reprinting the packaging underneath.
Party Labels sit in Life Moments and are made as Custom Sticker Rolls, Custom Sticker Sheets or Custom Individual Stickers.
What it has to do
What a Party Label Has to Do
A party label goes on many different surfaces at one event, is often applied by hand, and sometimes has to come off afterwards. Each need below is matched to how it is met.
01
Mark
Mark the Event on Every Item
One design ties favors, jars, bottles and bags together. Each surface gets a stock and adhesive suited to it, rather than one specification for everything.02
Names
Names, Dates and Several Designs
Names, dates, messages and themes go into the artwork. Several names or design versions in one run depend on the print method and production setup, confirmed before the proof.03
Permanent
Permanent or Removable
Permanent adhesive suits labels meant to stay on. Removable adhesive suits temporary decoration or clean removal, tested on the actual surface.04
Bottles
Bottles and Jars
Water bottle labels meet condensation and ice, so the stock and adhesive are chosen for wet, chilled surfaces and confirmed on the real bottle. Labels on food jars are checked for the food-packaging use, including possible migration through the packaging: face stock, adhesive, inks, coatings and laminates, for the food type, time and temperature.
Party Labels vs Promotional Stickers
Choose party labels to mark the items at one event; choose promotional stickers to hand out as brand swag. The table compares them.
| Attribute | Party Labels | Promotional Stickers |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Identify favors, jars, bottles and bags at an event | Spread a brand through giveaways |
| Artwork | Event names, date and theme | Brand logo and campaign |
| Applied to | Packaging chosen for the event | Laptops, bottles, notebooks by recipients |

What Size Party Label Do I Need?
Size the label to the flat space on the item: the lid of a jar, the band of a bottle, the front of a favor box or the seal of a bag. Final dimensions are set on the approved proof.
| Measurement | What to Record |
|---|---|
| Surface | Box, jar, glass or plastic bottle, paper or film bag |
| Space | Width and height of the flat area |
| Conditions | Chilled, wet or handled |
| Removal | Stays on, or comes off cleanly |
Apply a Sample to the Real Item
Apply sample labels to the actual favor box, jar or bottle. For bottles, chill them and check the label after condensation forms.
What to Check Before Bulk Production
Review sample labels applied to the real items and printed with the final artwork. Record the approved stock, adhesive and finish on the signed-off sample. Where a sample shows a problem, review the cause, revise the specification and confirm it on another applied sample.
| If the sample shows | Cause to review |
|---|---|
| Label lifts on a chilled bottle | Stock and adhesive against wet, chilled surfaces |
| Removable label leaves residue | Adhesive against the surface |
| Name in the wrong version | Data file and print setup |
| Ink smears when written on | Stock and finish, confirmed with the intended pen |
Seven days covers standard production from approved proof once the specification is confirmed; delivery timing is confirmed separately, so count back from the date labels are applied.
