Overview & Specifications
What Are Magnetic Stickers?
Magnetic stickers are printed flexible magnets: a printable face layer bonded to a flexible magnetic sheet, cut to size or shape. They hold to ferromagnetic surfaces such as steel and iron through magnetic attraction, not glue, so they come off cleanly and can be moved or reused. How firmly they hold depends on the magnet's thickness, size, shape, print layers and the surface they sit on.
How Magnetic Stickers Work
The format works through three details.
01
Magnet-Based Attachment
The piece holds through magnetic attraction rather than an adhesive layer, so removal and repositioning leave no glue behind.
02
Surface Compatibility First
They work on compatible ferromagnetic surfaces; aluminum, some stainless-steel grades and non-metals do not attract magnets, so the actual surface is tested before production.
03
Holding Depends on the Whole Piece
Magnet thickness, surface area, shape, print layers and orientation all affect how securely the piece stays in place.
Anatomy of a Magnetic Sticker
01
Printed Face
The graphic layer, with surface protection.
02
Magnetic Sheet
Flexible magnet that holds to the metal.
03
Cut Outline
Rectangle, rounded corners or a custom shape.
The printed face covers the whole piece, so the die line sets bleed to the cut edge; rounded corners help the edges stay flat.

Application guide
When Are Magnetic Stickers the Right Choice?
Magnetic stickers suit removable branding on compatible metal: refrigerator branding, metal retail fixtures, promotional magnets and removable informational signage, wherever the graphic should move or come off without adhesive.
01
Repositionable
Repositionable Branding
The graphic can be moved, reused or changed without removing adhesive.02
Clean
Clean Surface Removal
Attachment comes from magnetism rather than glue, so there is no adhesive layer to leave behind.03
Reusable
Reusable Display
Suitable for refrigerators, metal fixtures, lockers and compatible retail or office surfaces.04

When Another Format May Fit Better
For glass and windows, choose Static Cling Stickers. For labels on packaging, see the Sticker Roll or Individual Stickers.

What Size Magnetic Sticker Do You Need?
Quote by width × height and shape, plus the metal surface it goes on and whether it hangs vertically, like on a fridge door, or lies flat. Larger and vertical pieces need more magnet thickness to hold, so size and thickness are chosen together.
There is no fixed size list: any practical size is built to order.
Size and Thickness Reference
The figures below are planning references, not fixed manufacturing rules; holding depends on the actual surface and piece.
| Use | Typical Reference |
|---|---|
| Promotional and fridge magnets | About 2–4 in (50–100 mm), about 15–20 mil |
| Fixture and signage pieces | About 4–8 in (100–200 mm), about 20–30 mil |
| Vertical or larger pieces | Thicker magnet for the size |
| Corners | Rounded corners help the edges lie flat |
Important: These are reference figures. Holding performance depends on magnet thickness, size, print layers, orientation and the receiving surface, so a test on the actual surface is recommended before production.
If you are unsure, share the surface, size and whether the piece hangs vertically with the quote request, and the magnet is specified around it.
Will Magnetic Stickers Attach to Aluminum?
Not normally. Aluminum is not ferromagnetic, and some stainless-steel grades are not either, so test the actual surface before production.
