Overview & Specifications
What Are Branded Paper Bags?
Branded paper bags are paper bags printed with a company's logo and handed out to carry brochures, samples and merchandise at events. Every attendee who carries one around a hall shows the logo to everyone they pass.
Branded Paper Bags sit in Campaigns and are built on Custom Paper Tote Bags, Twisted Handle Paper Bags, Die-Cut Handle Bags or Custom Flat Paper Bags.
What it has to do
What an Event Bag Has to Do
An event bag is handed out by the hundred, carried for hours and seen by everyone in the room. Each need below is matched to how it is met.
01
Carry
Carry Literature and Samples
Brochures, samples and merchandise set the bag's size and load. The bag is sized to the items handed out together, and its carry performance is confirmed on a loaded sample.02
Logo
Logo Seen Across the Room
A large logo on both sides, or a full wrap, reads at a distance. Small type and fine detail are kept for the bag's lower panel.03
Light
Light to Hand Out in Bulk
Bags ship flat and open fast at a booth. Flat bags suit literature only; handled bags suit samples and merchandise.04
Matches
Matches the Event
One bag construction can carry different event artwork when the contents and load stay the same, so only the print changes per show.
Branded Paper Bags vs Fabric Trade Show Bags
Branded paper bags are printed paper bags that ship flat and are handed out in volume; fabric trade show bags are a different product made from cotton or synthetic fabric. Packaging Dock makes paper bags only. The table compares them.
| Attribute | Branded Paper Bags | Fabric Trade Show Bags |
|---|---|---|
| Material | Kraft, white art, recycled or specialty paper | Cotton, polypropylene or polyester |
| Ships | Flat | Folded |
| Made by Packaging Dock | Yes | No |

What Size Branded Paper Bag Do I Need?
Lay out everything handed out together, measure the largest item and weigh the full set. Final dimensions are set on the approved dieline.
| Measurement | What to Record |
|---|---|
| Largest item | Brochure size, or sample box size |
| Packed weight | Weight of the full set |
| Contents | Literature only, or samples and merchandise |
| Logo size and sides printed |
Test the Full Set
Load a sample with the full handout set and carry it. The test confirms the paper, handle and attachment for the real load.
What to Check Before Bulk Production
Review a sample loaded with the full handout set and printed with the final artwork. Record the approved paper, handles and finish on the signed-off sample. Where a sample shows a problem, review the cause, revise the specification and confirm it on another loaded sample.
| If the sample shows | Cause to review |
|---|---|
| Handles pull at the top edge | Handle attachment and top-edge reinforcement |
| Base sags under the set | Paper grade, gusset and bottom insert |
| Logo too small at distance | Logo size and print coverage |
| Flat bag tears at the opening | Paper weight against the contents |
Seven days covers standard production from approved proof once the specification is confirmed; delivery timing is confirmed separately, so count back from the show or event date.
