Overview & Specifications
What Are Custom Soap Sleeves?
Custom soap sleeves wrap a soap bar with a printed band or sleeve. Unlike a soap carton, the sleeve leaves part of the bar open, so buyers see and smell it. The sleeve touches the soap, so the stock is chosen for the formula.
Custom Soap Sleeves sit in the Custom Sleeves range and under Soap Packaging.
What it has to do
What a Soap Bar Needs from a Sleeve
A soap sleeve has to fit the bar, suit the formula it touches, show the soap and carry ingredient copy. Each need below is matched to the option that meets it.
01
Fit
A Fit to the Bar
The sleeve is sized to the bar's width, height and thickness, and to how it is wrapped.02
Stock
Stock That Suits the Formula
Oils and moisture in the soap can mark or soften paper. Direct-contact suitability depends on the formula and the stock chosen.03
Bar
The Bar on Show
A band leaves the ends and edges open so buyers see the color and smell the scent.04
Ingredient
Ingredient Copy
Ingredients, weight and brand go on the band panels. The brand supplies and approves the copy.
Soap Sleeves vs Soap Boxes
Choose a soap sleeve to show and scent the bar and a soap box to enclose it fully. The table compares the two.
| Attribute | Soap Sleeve | Custom Soap Box |
|---|---|---|
| Coverage | Band or partial sleeve | Fully enclosed |
| Bar visible | Yes | Only through a window |
| Scent | Reaches the buyer | Mostly contained |

How Do You Size a Soap Sleeve?
Measure the cured bar: width, height and thickness, plus any inner wrap. The final size is set on the approved dieline.
| Measurement | What to Record |
|---|---|
| Bar | Width, height and thickness |
| Wrap | Paper or film under the sleeve, if any |
| Format | Band or full sleeve |
| Copy | Ingredients and weight |
Test Samples Over the Storage Period
Check packed samples over the intended storage period and conditions, using bars from several batches. Look for oil marks and whether the band stays snug.
What to Check Before Bulk Production
Review a sample on a cured bar, printed with the final artwork. Record the approved size, stock and band position on the signed-off sample.
| If the sample shows | Review before approval |
|---|---|
| Oil marks the sleeve | Change the stock or add an inner wrap |
| Band loosens as the bar cures | Review size on a cured bar |
| Ingredient copy too small | Enlarge type or widen the band |
| Sleeve softens in humidity | Review stock and coating on a sample |
Seven days covers standard production from approved proof once the specification is confirmed; delivery timing is confirmed separately.
