Overview & Specifications
What Are Coffee Box Sleeves?
Coffee box sleeves are full sleeves over packaged coffee: a box of bags, a gift box or a container. They are not cup sleeves for drinks; those are on Cup Sleeve. The coffee pack inside holds the barrier; the sleeve carries the roast artwork.
Coffee Box Sleeves sit in the Custom Sleeves range and under Tea & Coffee Packaging.
What it has to do
What a Coffee Package Needs from a Sleeve
A coffee sleeve has to fit the finished box or container, switch the roast without a new box, carry origin and brewing copy and leave freshness to the coffee pack. Each need below is matched to the option that meets it.
01
Fit
A Fit to the Finished Package
The sleeve is sized to the outside of the coffee box or container and slides on after packing.02
Package
One Package, Many Roasts
Several roasts can share one base box, with the sleeve carrying the SKU, where the box size is the same.03
Origin
Origin and Brewing Copy
Origin, roast level, tasting notes and brewing guide sit on the sleeve panels. The brand supplies and approves the copy.04
Freshness
Freshness From the Coffee Pack
The sleeve is not a barrier. Freshness depends on the inner pack's material, seal and suitability for the required shelf life.
Coffee Box Sleeves vs Cup Sleeves
Choose a coffee box sleeve for packaged coffee on a shelf and a cup sleeve for drinks served in cups. The table compares the two.
| Attribute | Coffee Box Sleeve | Cup Sleeve |
|---|---|---|
| Wraps | A coffee box or container | A beverage cup |
| Shape | Four-panel tube | Tapered band |
| Job | Roast artwork and copy | Grip, hand separation, branding |

How Do You Size a Coffee Box Sleeve?
Measure the packed coffee box or container on all three sides. A sliding allowance is added, and the approved dieline fixes the final size.
| Measurement | What to Record |
|---|---|
| Package | Box, tin or container |
| Outside size | Width, depth and height |
| Roasts | Number of sleeve designs |
| Copy | Origin, roast and brewing |
Slide a Sample Over the Coffee Box
Slide a printed sample over the packed coffee box. Check the fit and that the roast name reads from the front.
What to Check Before Bulk Production
Review a sample on the packed coffee box, printed with the final artwork. Record the approved size and roast panels on the signed-off sample.
| If the sample shows | Review before approval |
|---|---|
| Sleeve slides off | Review size and board on a new sample |
| Roasts mix up at packing | Add a roast code on the sleeve end |
| Brewing copy crowded | Move it to a side panel |
| Tin lid catches the sleeve | Review sleeve height on a sample |
Seven days covers standard production from approved proof once the specification is confirmed; delivery timing is confirmed separately.
